HEY Vanessa CARLTON, go sing your CRAPPY songs and SHUT up about POLITICS you DUMB twit!

Vanessa Carlton is backing Democratic presidential nominee (and Us Weekly cover star) Barack Obama!
"Barack is a fantastic thinker and extremely bright, and I'm very relieved because I have a feeling it's a shoe-in at this point," Carlton told Usmagazine.com at Jawbone's CultureCatch Music Salon Series on June 17 in NYC. "I don't want to speak too soon, but I don't know how anyone could not vote for such an obviously prepared candidate."
(See Barack's Just Like Us photo gallery.)
Carlton originally was stumping for Hillary Clinton.
"I wholeheartedly wanted Hills to really come up, and it would have been wonderful to have a female president, but the team now is really solid," Carlton says.
Does she want to see Clinton join Obama as Vice President?
"I don't know how that's going to work out. But it doesn't matter anymore. Regardless, they are all endorsing Barack -- as they should," says the Heroes and Thieves singer who has a new single "Hands On Me."
An obviously prepared canidate, what the hell are you talking about, he has little expierence at all, can you name any meaningful piece of legislation he introduced in the senate? Of course not. Because he didn't. This coming from someone who supported Hillary because she was a WOMAN! Moron. This is another hollywood idiot with no education running their mouth. Barack Obama is a socialist in the mold of Fidel Castro.

  1. Guess I can't support your website anymore. Just because you disagree with her opinion doesn't mean she is a "twit" (who even uses that word?). I sincerely hope you aren't going to vote for McCain. Regardless of how much you dislike Obama, the fact is, he is a much smarter man that McCain has ever dreamed of being. Especially being a woman (I hope this isn't a man writing a Hills blog) I am appalled at how you can support someone with such disrespect for women. McCain plans to immediately act to overturn Roe v. Wade but then in turn also cut funding for those same mothers who cannot afford to have those children in the first place. Right now, he is also trying to lift the ban on offshore drilling in order to "relieve the American people at the gas pump." Isn't that being a little bit hypocritical after just saying that we need to cut down our addiction to oil? We can't cut down on our addition and drill more at the same time! You need to get a clue.

  2. What per se makes Obama more intelligent than McCain? You are the problem with america, you dismiss m
McCain based on one issue, abortion. The reality is oil even with the development of wind, solar, etc. Will be the major source of fuel for decades to come in the US. Quit be a treehugger, there is middle ground to minimize the risk of spills and increase domestic oil supply and lessen our dependence on the middle east. I can you are a "I feel" person versus a facts person. As far as Carlton, she should keep her obviously undereducated opinions to herself.

  3. The freedoms you enjoy today are in part due to the sacrifice of people like John McCain who served admirably in the armed forces and was in fact a POW. I find it comical that you criticize him when he is responsible for your freedoms. What exactly has Barack done other than talk? Nothing.

  4. Is McCain running for the supreme court? Oh he's not, how is he going to overturn Roe v. Wade then? Its a court issue. God damn, its people like you that have no business voting because you clearly don't know what the hell your talking about! Get a clue.

  5. First off our current president has lied about why we were going to war and now there are over 4,000 troops who died for nothing. McCain had build most of his campagin around this war. A war we shouldn't have happened in the first place. McCain wants to keep our troops there for another 100 years along with another whole boat of BULL SHIT he has done and will do if he becomes president. He just another Bush and I didn't vote for that ass whipe and I won't vote for McCain either.

  6. It's a bit pointless to debate politics on a site about Lauren Conrad, but anonymous #3, please go pick up a book about the US government. Who do you think nominates Supreme Court justices? And while you're at it, please learn the difference between "your" and "you're" before you lecture people about getting a clue!

  7. Right, because calling someone "dummy" and "loser" totally proves your point! I love how you can say for sure that maybe just one of the justices will retire in the next 4 years, when clearly before you had no idea who nominates them. How do you expect people to take you seriously if you don't even bother checking what you wrote, in terms of facts and spelling?

And to the author of the blog, "Barack Obama is a socialist?" Do you really perceive him as such a threat that you have to compare him to a dictator who has caused such misfortune for his people? It's an inaccurate and unfair comparison, to say the least. Just say that he is too liberal for you and leave it at that.

  8. Hey, 4:49, the next president is going to be able to appoint AT LEAST 2 justices!

  9. Ya'll got quite a little debate started. My original point was mostly frustration at another celebrity trying to influence an election. That said, yes, I do consider Barack Obama a real threat. I believe in small government and hard work. I do not believe the government should provide retirement via social security or healthcare via medicare. Barack is about big government. If you need the government to provide for you then I feel quite sorry for you.
