MTV's new spin-off show The City, is already crashing and burning after one episode. Only 1.6 million people tuned in to watch Whitney Port and her somewhat sleazy, mostly Australian boyfriend navigate the treacherous social waters that is New York's Fashion Week.
Guess New York and Whitney don't have the same audience appeal as Cali and Lauren Conrad. Strike one up for Failure: East Coast.
Actually, the ratings were not that bad, if you do the research the dance show Mario Lopez hosted that MTV was very happy with only averaged about 1.4 million viewers. So, with 1.6 on a Holiday it actually did well.
Compared to THE HILLS. it sucked.
ReplyDeleteActually it's bad, MTV did so much promotion for the show so it should have gotten better ratings.
ReplyDeleteSo more people watch Life Of Ryan than the city? Sad.
ReplyDeleteYou can't compare it to the hills that's the point. Differnent ratings period for one. For two, you don't have a proven commodity in Lauren. Mtv is most likely very happy. When you understand ratings then post. When you understand advertising then post. You understand neither.
ReplyDeleteI love Life of Ryan, can't wait for it to come back.
ReplyDeleteThe City sucks.
ReplyDeletei agree the city does suck. whitney sucks and is so boring i dont care about her or her love life.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the life of ryan too much better than the city. I found the city to be very dull I would switch when a commerical came on and forget to switch back it didn't hold my interest.
ReplyDeleteThen don't watch.
ReplyDeleteThe city is fun, its nice to see New York instead of bLAh.
