HEALTHCARE....Let's talk

I understand it feels good to say let's as a country give healthcare to every man, woman and child, feels good.

Who pays for it my fellow americans? We already have two mega programs in the US, medicare and social security, both of which are essentially already bankrupt.

Maybe we can issue some more bonds and maybe Japan and China for example will buy them. Thats called debt, in addition to paying interest on the debt every year, you eventually have to pay back the principle.

You think these countries are not paying attention to the ever increasing debt level here in the US? Of course they are, so as time goes on, to buy our debt they want a higher interest rate because the more of a debtor nation we become the more risky our debt issuances become.

Guess what, as the interest rate rises on the debt so will the interest rate you pay for things like buying a house or a car.

The reality is we can not afford to give everyone in this country legally plus all the illegals healthcare.

I hear people like George Clooney, Whoopi, Joy Behar, and Obama say daily how wonderful this will be, well, if its so wonderful and such a great idea then why don't they and you too, if you support this idea, start the process.

George makes 20 million a movie, surely he can live a couple hundred thousand a year, thats leaves $18.8 million if he just makes a movie a year. Let's take that close to 19 million and lets buy healthcare for people. We can start with 9,400 people. George, you have a 30 million dollar house from what I under, surely you can live in a house for a couple million. That will give us 28 million more, we can help another 15,000 people or so. Whoopi, you too.

Now realize that 49 million or so that we took from George, well, its only helping 25,000 people and did I mention, that will only cover them for about a year.

Are you starting to see the gravity of just how much it would cost to provide everyone with healthcare?

Not too mention, where are the extra doctors coming from to treat all of these people?

So I say, anyone that favors health insurance for everyone, you start first, you pay for someone for a year it will cost about $2,000.00 to pay for one person. And lets see at the end of the year how you feel then. If your helping a poor person who is jobless, do you resent them after the year if they still don't have a job? I suspect you would. Or if you help someone with a job and you meet them to write the check for the health insurance and they pull up in a new car or their wearing a new Lauren Conrad design, how would you feel then? Resentful? Yah, I think so. Or maybe you provide healthcare for a single mom with a baby. And you pull up a year later and guess what she's pregnant again!!! Oh, how wonderful!! How do you feel then? Angry? Yah, I think you might.

If national healthcare goes through, this is who you will be paying for, eventually there will be a line item on your check stub just like their's a line now for Federal, State, FICA, and Social Security and that will eat I would say conservatively another 5% of your check. So if you take home $1,000 a week now, so bye to another $50 bucks and it will probably be more than that!
