LAUREN CONRAD AT THE BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL!

LAUREN CONRAD IN ALLURE APRIL 2014!

She's come a long way from her former "Laguna Beach" days, and now Lauren Conrad discusses her new life chapter in the April 2014 issue of Allure magazine.
The 28-year-old fashion designer looked absolutely stunning in a black KaufmanFranco dress for the Alexi Lubomirski-shot spread while dishing about everything from her life in front of the cameras to her beauty advice for brides.
Highlights from Miss Conrad's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Allure!
On her reality star days:
"Doing reality television for such a long time made a big different. People were in my bedroom. You have to represent yourself well no matter what you do."
On her home decor:
"If it were up to me, my home would be just over-the-top girlie and vintage, but I share my home with a gentleman now."
On her work from home views:
"Your bed is for sleep and sex."
On her fashion advice:
"Take any trend you want and relax it. That's how California does it. If it's silk button-up shirts that are in, you probably don't button them all the way, and you cuff a sleeve, you know what I mean? It's almost like how your outfit looks at the end of the day."

LAUREN CONRAD IN COSMO 2014 OF JANUARY!

On her fiance's proposal: "I had no idea it was coming. I thought he would wait until he finished law school. He didn't even ask my friends [what kind of ring to buy], which was a bold move. He said, 'I know you, and I know what you like.' And I love it. It's perfect."
On her thoughts on marriage:
"You have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about wedding than the marriage. you should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy. William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy, and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream... If you're going to settle down, it should be with someone you can't stop thinking about. Especially if you're in your 20s. If I were single in my 60s, I would totally settle. I would!"
On her biggest mistakes while on TV:
"Being on television all those years, I got to view my own behavior. One thing I realized is that I was too hard on my friends when it came to guys. Instinctually, I wanted to protect them. But when you come off as judge-y and people are reluctant to come to you with a problem. I had to cut 'I told you so' from my vocabulary."
On her body:
"I’m so jealous of people who completely love their bodies. I think most women have trouble areas as well as areas that they like. So you play up your favorite parts and learn to dress around the others. I used to hate my legs, but now I always wear minis. It was an accident. In an effort to look taller, I started wearing really high heels with shorter skirts and ended up showing off my legs a lot."
