Lauren Conrad, you basic bitch!

Lauren Conrad continues to be super basic

Photo: Jose Villa/Flutter Magazine
Lauren Conrad is having a wonderfully basic time on the cover of Flutter Magazine this month.
“I love dressing up when hosting events,” she told the mag, which hits stands on Dec. 21. “Wear something that makes you feel beautiful!”
The quarterly magazine features Paper Crown founders Conrad and Maura McManus in a photo shoot with the pair setting up the perfect party with wine, cupcakes and everything one needs to be a good hostess.
It was revealed in July that the former “Hills” star is working on a new book about party planning called “Celebrate!”
“I’m really excited to release a book that will help guide in making beautiful celebrations,” the 29-year-old said. “Through a little planning and resourcefulness, hosting gatherings is easy to achieve. After all, life is all about celebrating!”

I mean, I don't think we need to call Lauren Conrad a goddamn liar.....

Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)

Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)

Lauren Conrad may seem like a harmless pile of jewel-toned tank tops layered, one on top of the other, into the shape of a great gal who just wants to live her dream of designing bold statement necklaces and reasonably-priced headbands for Kohl's®, but please sit down and calmly listen to what I am about to tell you: She is actually a G.D. liar who can't even be honest about what her favorite metallic hue has always been.
In a recent interview with the lifestyle blog Cupcakes and Cashmere, Lauren recommended that we all buy some hair accessories, namely Bando's Rose Gold Model Bobbi Pins ($10 for a set of eight—an unreasonable price). Here's how she explained why she likes these bobbi pins in particular (emphasis added):
I love my short hair and have had so much fun cutting it (again...and again). But I can't do a ton of styles with it. While I'm learning to style my shorter 'do, I like throwing in a few pretty pins to hold the choppier pieces in place. Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue, so these Bando pins are right up my alley.
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue, says Lauren Conrad. Not white gold, not yellow gold, not spangold. Rose gold.
Rose. Gold. Has. Always. Been. My. Favorite. Metallic. Hue.
This is the biggest freakin' lie I have ever heard in my entire life.
Does Lauren Conrad have a rose gold engagement ring that was presented to her sometime during the year 2013 by her now-husband William Tell? Yes.

But has rose gold always been Lauren Conrad's favorite metallic hue?
Please. I think you are forgetting that your high school experience where you wore silver necklaces every day was captured on film, Miss Lauren.
Roll tape.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue, says LC in 2015. But that's a freakin' lie because I saw her wearing a silver necklace in her Laguna Beach casting tape in 2004.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue, coos the Lauren Conrad of today. But that's a freakin' lie because I saw her wearing a silver middle finger ring while talking on a cordless phone to Stephen.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue sings Lauren Conrad to the cupcake blog. But that's a freakin' lie because I saw her wearing a silver necklace when she was putting on makeup next to Lo (Lauren Bosworth).
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue trills Lauren Conrad about the bobby pins. But that's a freakin' lie because I saw her shoving a silver three piece jewelry set in the face of a Getty photographer in 2005.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue says Lauren Conrad. A lie. A LIE.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue says Lauren Conrad, who thinks that just because she has short hair now she can change her whole identity and erase her past. But that's a freakin' lie because I saw her wearing flashy yellow gold chandelier earrings at a Sprint Pepsi party for Ocean Drive magazine.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue says Lauren Conrad. These [rose gold] Bando pins are right up my alley. But that's a freakin' lie—they are not right up her alley—because I saw her in 2006 wearing a nameplate necklace with her name and a nameplate necklace with her boyfriend Jason's name and neither of them were rose gold.
Lauren Conrad Is a Goddamn Liar (Just My Opinion)
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue, whispers Lauren Conrad, looking into the mirror and crying. Maybe she can delude herself into believing that's true. That a rose gold engagement ring was the metallic hue she really did want. That her husband knows her well enough to know what precise tones of metals she likes. But that's a freakin' lie because I saw Lauren shedding mascara-blackened tears on an episode of The Hills in 2008, and she was wearing a gold necklace that was not rose gold.
Rose gold has always been my favorite metallic hue
Give me a break.
Sorry to be real.

Lauren Conrad's favorite sex position?

A lady never tells! Lauren Conrad's love life has been played out in public since her Laguna Beach days, but some secrets clearly are meant to be left behind closed doors. In a resurfaced radio interview from October 2012, the reality star turned best-selling author and designer gives a hilarious response when asked a very personal question.

During an appearance on Sway Calloway's Sway in the Morning, Conrad, 28, pulled several questions out of a hat to answer. She quickly replied to all of them, but got stuck when asked: "What's your favorite position?"
Silence.
After an awkward pause, she quipped: "CEO."

"CEO?" the former MTV VJ replied back. "I like that! High-five! CEO. That was dope." The two gave each other a high-five, as Conrad giggled.

Lauren Conrad and William Tell are settling into married life quite nicely! The former MTV star and fashion designer shared with followers via Instagram that she was happy to be back home with her hubby — and at Villa Tell!

"Happy to be home sweet home…" Conrad captioned a picture of a tile which read "Villa Tell" on it on Thursday, Oct. 2. The newlyweds, who said "I do" on Sept. 13 in Santa Ynez Valley, Calif., presumably got the tile while celebrating their nuptials on honeymoon in Sicily.

Over the course of their two week getaway, Mrs. Tell shared snaps from their Mediterranean adventure. In one beach Instagram, the Paper Crown designer asked followers, "How do you say 'I may never come home?'"

William Tell's new wife also indulged in the island's cuisine. "Post wedding diet," she jokingly captioned a picture of herself sipping red wine with a large cheese and mushroom pizza.
"What a perfect way to start our lives together; surrounded by the people we love most," the happy couple told Us Weekly in a statement following their fairy tale wedding.

As for Valentine's Day, the fashion designer and bestselling author has some tricks up her sleeve, but none that she's willing to share.

LAUREN CONRAD AND STEPHANIE PRATT STILL BESTIES......

Lauren Conrad Reunites With Hills Pal Stephanie Pratt: See Them Now!

Celebrity News Jan. 26, 2015 AT 6:40PM

The rest is still unwritten! Almost five years since the finale of The Hills aired, stars Lauren Conrad and Stephanie Pratt have stayed in touch despite pursuing different careers.
PHOTOS: Lauren Conrad's BFFs
On Sunday, Jan. 25, the pair reunited for the baby shower of their close mutual friend Hannah Skvarla.

PHOTOS: Hills stars then and now
“Can’t wait to be an auntieeee! @hannahskvarla @laurenconrad,” Pratt, 28, captioned a photo of the trio, also posting a solo shot with Skvarla, writing, “My bestie is having a baby! @hannahskvarla #Liora #Malibu.”
PHOTOS: Costars reunited
Skvarla and Conrad, 28, started their non-profit organization The Little Market in 2013. Pratt attended the company’s launch party back in October 2013. Since then, the younger sister of Hills villain Spencer Pratt has also appeared on the British reality series Made in Chelsea and was featured on a recent episode of Millionaire Matchmaker.

While Pratt and Conrad were spending some quality time together, their pal and fellow Hills star Lo Bosworth took to the red carpet at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards as a social media correspondent.

“OK, I've hit the SAG Awards Red Carpet. Will be showing you all the celebs, outfits, and beauty you won't want to miss! #sagawards @sagawards @tntdrama,” she tweeted only with a red carpet selfie that showed off the plunging neckline on her blush-colored dress. ?

HEIDI MONTAG JUST CAN NOT LET IT GO......

It may have been almost five years since The Hills ended, but the feud between frenemies Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad is apparently still fuming—at least, on Montag's end.
In an exclusive clip obtained by E! News, the reality star revealed during an exercise on Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars that she is "angriest" at LC, her "former best friend," who she claims, "tried to just ruin my life with her lies."
On the show, Montag was told she can either choose the path of forgive or forget (literally, there were two walkways labeled "forgive" and "forget").
"Well, she so famously said she wants to 'forgive and forget you' and I just wanna forgive her," Heidi decided, and began walking the blue-lit maze. "I definitely feel the weight of the emotional baggage that I carried from this person and I'm sick of it," she told the cameras.

But that wasn't the end of it. Ohhhh, no.
Once she finished her walk and exited on the other side, she was greeted with a female who would now pretend to be Lauren, so that Heidi can say whatever it is that's been on her mind all of these years.
"I am so mad at you for feeling like, because you put me on TV, I was indentured to you for everything. I am so mad at you, how awful you treated me," Montag began to say, but was interrupted by responses like, "I made you!"
The emotions got high and the yelling started to go full throttle. Then Montag shouted, "You had your sex tape and you blamed it all on me!"
While it's no secret that these two never chose to rekindle their friendship, the intensity of the bad blood between them may be a little surprising. A little over a year ago, Montag revealed that she had spoken to Lauren a few times since The Hills wrapped, and seemed to express that things were civil between them.
"I do really appreciate everything that she's done for me and I'll always have such great memories about her and, you know, without her I wouldn't have any of the world that I have today or my husband," Montag said. "It's unfortunate things happened the way that it did, but we're both different people now, older and more mature."
Hmmm...

LAUREN CONRAD TALKS THE GYM....

Lauren Conrad tends not to go to the gym and has a very low-maintenance beauty regime.
"Yes [I exercise], but I'm not a go-to-the-gym-every-day kind of girl. When I'm there I just stare at the clock," Lauren laughed to People magazine. "I like going for a hike or doing stand-up paddleboard."
Lauren recently lopped off her long locks for a shorter 'do, but admits she won't keep the bob forever.
On the subject of hair, the former The Hills star revealed her husband William Tell is a huge fan of red colourings. Although she's not tempted to stray from her blonde roots, Lauren also appreciates redheaded ladies.
"This awards season [my beauty icon is] Jessica Chastain. She's been looking so stunning," she gushed.
The 29-year-old is no stranger to the red carpet herself and is known for her demure glamour. It may look like she spends hours preening herself, but Lauren says it's quite the opposite.
"It's pretty low-maintenance. I don't wear a lot of make-up. It's easier.
"I can style my hair in a couple of minutes with [John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves] salt spray. It's great," she divulged.
The publication also quizzed Lauren on her very first beauty buy, with the star cringing at the memory.
"I think it was one of those trunks that has every shade of eye shadow. I was in seventh grade, and every day my eyes coordinated with my top - it was bad," she recalled.

Over the weekend, the Laguna Beach alum, engaged to William Tell since October 2013, shared pictures of the adorable decorations — including napkins embossed with "Almost Mrs. Tell" — and flowers at her bridal shower. "Thank you to my amazing friends and family for the best shower ever," she captioned a pic on Instagram.

Kelly Cutrone uses three words to describe Lauren Conrad and TALENTED ain't one of them!

Kelly Cutrone isn't one to mince words, and she certainly didn't hold back during her Reddit AMA on Tuesday. Even though she recently swung by HuffPost to tell us that she wouldn't take back her Kanye diss and that it is possible to make money in fashion, Cutrone had a LOT left to say.
It's impossible to pick out the one best thing Cutrone said, so here are the 11 best things we learned:
1. She's still friends with Whit.
Turns out Cutrone not only stays in touch with Whitney Port, but is also good friends with her family.
kelly cutrone
2. Cutrone is not friends with Bravo.
After making big waves on MTV, Cutrone felt that she had no control over her Bravo show. Instead, she's returning to TV on the CW with The Kelly Cutrone Project on September 6.
3. Lauren Conrad didn't totally work for her.
Everyone pretty much assumed that MTV made Cutrone hire Lauren Conrad, but we found out that Lauren didn't even work for her full time! Apparently, Conrad was a "sweet and diligent and funny" employee though. Oh, Laur.
4. Being on "The Hills" was the easiest job she's ever had.
Cutrone doesn't regret being on "The Hills" one bit. As she wrote, "I liked being on 'The Hills'. It's one of the easiest jobs I have ever had in my life. I wish every day could be 'The Hills' day! How hard is it to go to work and yell at Roxy? It's not that hard!"
5. The best advice she's ever gotten is of course pretty damn good.
"When things go really really bad - life is going to have its way with you no matter who you are - and when things get really really bad, that's the time to stand up and keep going, and to push, not to fall down or run away. That is the most important thing."
6. She plays the "voice of reason" on "America's Next Top Model".
Cutrone said that she does play a role on "ANTM", and it's a combination of "industry voice" and "the voice of reason." She also gave us some more sage advice on TV shows: "...There's an old joke in the TV industry - the bitch on TV is the nice one in real life, and the nice one on TV is a bitch in real life." WOW.
kelly cutrone next top model
7. A few people are more ruthless than Cutrone and her famous tagline.
After famously saying "If you have to cry, go outside," Cutrone said that the motto comes from her own experiences of getting upset in PR and having to walk outside to have a moment. Cutrone also said that while she loves Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of Facebook is actually "far more ruthless" than she is!
8. You shouldn't listen to your parents.
As harsh as it may seem, Cutrone has a good point. When it comes to making major life decisions -- like what to major in in college or what to pursue as a career -- no one else can make that decision for you.
9. LA is more fashionable than you think.
The "most overlooked city for fashion" is LA, which is a "compliment and a diss at the same time," Cutrone said.
10. But fashion is WAY more cutthroat than TV will tell you.
"It's worse. Trust me when I tell you." We believe you, Kelly!
11. And last but not least -- tenacity will get you everywhere.
At least in PR. Tenacity is "the best quality in a publicist."

Here comes the bride! Lauren Conrad was celebrated by friends and family with a bridal shower at her Los Angeles home over Labor Day weekend. The shower, which featured flower decor and personalized napkins, stayed true to the girly Paper Crown designer’s style.

“Thank you to my amazing friends and family for the best shower ever!” Conrad, 28, captioned a picture of a grey napkin with “Almost Mrs. Tell” printed on it. The designer’s Instagram included the hashtag “#tellmeyouloveme.”

In another snap, the Hills alum shared a peek at the adorable floral china the party dined on. “Thank you to @dishwishgirl for making my shower so lovely!” she wrote.

Conrad was “thrilled for the sweet bridal shower,” a source tells Us Weekly of the small fete. “Everything was brought in, they used tips that are on her blog and a few events companies did small loans, but really her friends are so thrifty,” the insider adds. “It was classy and elegant.”
Conrad also shared a throwback picture from her mom’s bridal shower, joking to her bridesmaids, “Good news for my bridesmaids! Turns out my mother saved all of her bridesmaid dresses so…”

PHOTOS: Top Hills moments
After celebrating her bachelorette party in Cabo in June, the bride-to-be told Martha Stewart Weddings she designed her bridesmaids’ dresses herself. "They're all wearing the same two colors, so it's all the same color scheme," she said. "I don't think it needs to look too cohesive. They're all individuals, so it's nice that it doesn't look too uniform."

Thinking outloud, has anyone asked will William Tell be Lauren Conrad's lawyer and mooch off her?

Thoughts?

I really want to know.  Great way to spend time together?  Too much?  Is it mooching?  What if he screwed up a major deal or missed something important in a contract?  Is he secure enough to work for her?

These are the questions we need answered!

Lauren Conrad tries to ring the register with bridesmaid line

Lauren Conrad Launches Line of Bridesmaids Dresses Because She's Smart Like That

When Lauren Conrad set a date for her wedding, naturally everyone posed a ton of questions about the details surrounding the reality star’s big day, like what her dress would look like or who might make the guest list.  Fortunately, Conrad has a huge helping hand in former Hills co-star Whitney Port, who reportedly pitched in to helped with planning duties. That seems to have worked out great because unless Conrad has superheroic wedding planning powers, I don’t see how in the world she found time to taste the cake, select hairstyles that will hold up throughout the ceremony, approve a seating chart, and release her own line of Lauren Conrad bridesmaids dresses.
According to People, the 12-look collection is available through Conrad’s clothing line Paper Crown.  Quite frankly, that’s a ridiculously admirable feat, especially for someone who’s supposed to be basic. Compared to many of her celebrity counterparts, Conrad’s latest fashion venture is an incredibly smart way to capitalize off her wedding without coming off as a complete money-grubbing bride who prefers to make the ceremony more about a paycheck instead of celebrating the start of a marriage.

It’s true that a celebrity wedding has several components that set it apart from the average wedding. Everyone’s famous, from the bride and groom, to the guests, to the caterer and dress designers. So, oftentimes, the exchanging of money is just as crucial as the exchanging of vows. Conrad was certainly aware of that, but these bridesmaids dresses are way more creative and decidedly less obvious way to profit off wedding than say a reality TV wedding special of Kimye proportions, complete with camera crew and carefully orchestrated close-ups.
Besides, she’s been there done that and has the mascara-streaked reality TV moments to prove it. In the past, people have criticized Conrad for her super laid-back personality, but in this case I think her understated approach completely worked in her favor.

Lauren Conrad's upcoming wedding!

If seeing Lauren Conrad in a bridesmaid dress didn’t make your heart flutter with anticipation for her upcoming wedding, then this definitely will: the bride-to-be has just released a line of bridesmaid dresses herself! Her clothing line Paper Crown now sells 12 looks, which Conrad (along with five of her nine bridesmaids) models in the fall issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. (And if they look familiar, there’s a reason for that!)

True to Conrad’s romantic-bohemian style, we spot ladylike lace touches, modest necklines and nothing too mini. “In our collection, we’re only doing a few dresses that aren’t long,” says Conrad. “We’re doing full-length, a couple midi and then we have a couple to-the-knee. We didn’t really go shorter than that because it doesn’t really feel appropriate, and if that’s what you want, then you can always shorten the dress.”
Conrad, who asked her besties to be a part of her special day with a card and custom-made Kohl’s rose gold necklaces with a “little diamond ring piece that looks just like my ring,” has a relaxed view of what her wedding party will look like. “I don’t think it has to be too cohesive,” she explains. “It’s too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style.” So she’s choosing a few hues, then letting her friends pick from “all the different shapes” in her line. “I don’t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones,” she says.
Get style extras and how-to's on the latest celebrity fashion trends by subscribing to PEOPLE.

Her view on hair and makeup is equally chill. “I’m letting the girls do whatever they want,” she says. “I think that weddings are about celebrating, and you want everyone to feel comfortable, so I think it’s about whatever is going to make them feel pretty.” But of course, don’t expect anything garish from the girls: “Understated is always best, so I think trying to go more classic is always a nice choice. You don’t want anybody to stand out in a negative way.”
One thing she is particular about? Potentially matching manis in a classic hue. “I was thinking about doing a gift bag and just including a pale pink or a nude in there,” she says. ” I think that’s a nice way to suggest, like, ‘Here’s a pretty color for you.’ That might actually be a good call because some of my friends will probably have navy or dark nails!”

Lauren Conrad a bridesmaid not yet a bride!

Preparing for her own "I Do's"! Lauren Conrad spent her weekend serving as a bridesmaid in the wedding of longtime friend Maura McManus. On Saturday, Aug. 16, the fashion designer, 28, posted several Instagram shots from the Ojai, Calif. service and reception, which used the hashtag "#oehmsweetoehm."

Bestselling author Conrad wore a cream, floor-length bridesmaid gown and wore her blonde locks down with large waves.

Lauren Conrad has a deep conversation with herself......

What are three things you wish you could tell your 18-year-old self?

Well, 18-year-old Lauren, here’s my advice…
1. Wear sunscreen!
This is an obvious one. When I was a teenager, tanning was the mode du jour and I was all about getting that sun-kissed (or tanning bed orange…) glow. I felt invincible, and never thought twice about the skin damage caused by UV rays. Nowadays, I’ve learned to embrace my natural skin tone in the hopes that it will mean less wrinkles and a lower risk of skin cancer as I get older. I never leave home without my SPF.
2. Enjoy being young.
They say that youth is wasted on the young, and I couldn’t agree more. When I was 18, I was in a hurry to grow up. Instead, I wish I would have taken a beat to just enjoy being young. So many things are new when you’re that age and the level of responsibility is still low. It’s important to enjoy that phase just like any other.
3. Be an individual.
Being 18 years old means you’re at an age of many exciting changes. For so long you’ve gone to school with the same people, and everything you’ve done is with the same group of friends in more or less the same environment. Then, for the first time you get to go off on your own and make real, conscious decisions about where you want life to take you. You get to choose your school, your major, and what kind of person you’ll become. So when you’re making these decisions, be an individual. It’s the best way to discover who you really are.
There you have it!
What lessons have you learned in the last 10 years?
Share them in the comments.
XO Lauren
