LAUREN CONRAD AND WILLIAM TELL HALLOWEEN 2013!

LAUREN CONRAD IN COSMO 2014 OF JANUARY!

On her fiance's proposal: "I had no idea it was coming. I thought he would wait until he finished law school. He didn't even ask my friends [what kind of ring to buy], which was a bold move. He said, 'I know you, and I know what you like.' And I love it. It's perfect."
On her thoughts on marriage:
"You have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about wedding than the marriage. you should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy. William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy, and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream... If you're going to settle down, it should be with someone you can't stop thinking about. Especially if you're in your 20s. If I were single in my 60s, I would totally settle. I would!"
On her biggest mistakes while on TV:
"Being on television all those years, I got to view my own behavior. One thing I realized is that I was too hard on my friends when it came to guys. Instinctually, I wanted to protect them. But when you come off as judge-y and people are reluctant to come to you with a problem. I had to cut 'I told you so' from my vocabulary."
On her body:
"I’m so jealous of people who completely love their bodies. I think most women have trouble areas as well as areas that they like. So you play up your favorite parts and learn to dress around the others. I used to hate my legs, but now I always wear minis. It was an accident. In an effort to look taller, I started wearing really high heels with shorter skirts and ended up showing off my legs a lot."

Lauren Conrad fun 28th b-day!

If anyone knows how to throw a crafty theme party, it's Lauren Conrad. So for the reality star-turned-clothing designer's 28th birthday and her fiance William Tell's 34th birthday, she threw a joint hoedown for their closest friends and family.

The engaged couple's actual birthdays are only six days apart -- hers is Feb. 1 and his is Feb. 7 -- so celebrating together was a natural fit. The party was held on Friday, Feb. 7 in the Rivera 31 cocktail lounge inside of West Hollywood's Sofitel Hotel.
An eyewitness tells Us Weekly that in the middle of the party, LC picked up the mic and sang "You Are My Sunshine" to her future hubby, and "the room filled with 'awwws' and flashing cameras." After the song, the two shared a long kiss and then continued to mingle and pose for photos with guests.

Conrad's mom Kathy and sister Breanna attended the festivities, which seemed to be mostly made up of friends and family. Former Hills costars Stephanie Pratt and Frankie Delgado were also spotted at the fete.

Befitting the country Western theme, guests wore straw cowboy hats and danced to live music from the band; they noshed on mini flatbread pizzas, cheeses, bruschetta, red velvet cupcakes, and cake.
At one point, Conrad and Tell were spotted dancing together to Darius Rucker's "Wagon Wheel," and "looked extremely in love and happy all night," the eyewitness reveals.

Conrad's guests started leaving the event around 1 a.m., as the hostess hugged and thanked her friends.
Two close pals who couldn't make it? Conrad's rescue pups Fitz and Chloe. The best-selling author posted a picture of her pets dressed for the party on Instagram, captioning, "Trying to figure out how to tell these 2 they aren't coming to the birthday hoedown…"
