Hills star Heidi Montag was pleased to hear former BFF Lauren Conrad say she misses her on a recent episode of the MTV hit.
"I was glad to hear it... I thought it was really sweet," Montag told Extra. "That really brought a big smile to my face."
The former roommates haven't been on speaking terms since Montag moved in with Spencer Pratt. Their feud escalated after Conrad accused Pratt and Montag of spreading rumors that she made a sex tape.
"Obviously I miss her, and she was my best friend for a really long time," Montag said. "Hopefully one day we will be able to work through this and move on and patch some things up."

Montag also weighed in on Audrina Patridge's decision to move out of the house Conrad shares with Lo Bosworth.
"I talked to her briefly," Montag told Extra. "I think this is great for her. I think this is very positive.
"She's been independent her whole life, and I think Lauren was her first roommate experience, so I think it's good that she can go back and enjoy her life and live by herself for a little bit," Montag explained.
And as Hills supporting star Whitney Port shoots her spinoff show in New York City, are Montag and beau Spencer Pratt ready to headline their own show?
"Currently we love being on The Hills…We love reality TV," Pratt told Extra. "It's so much fun.
Added Montag, "I don't think we're going to stop reality TV anytime soon. [Our own series is] definitely one day in the works for sure."

The couple also expect to get engaged.
"I need a ring first," Montag said. "Down on one knee proposal with the waterfalls and the wedding carriage... and a horse carriage."
