Here's what is left of the truck that killed the Milton teenager!

One dead and two more seriously injured, but it was all in the name of a good time right? A few beers, some speeding, the middle of the night, all in the name of a good time.
The Milton student will never graduate, never get married, never have kids but hey it was a good time right? The driver will likely be charged with atleast manslaughter, but it was a good time right? The driver's brother will never be the same but it was in the name of a good time right?
A good time was had by all and thats what matters.

I just keep thinking back to when I was in high school. My mom and stepdad were great parents and I was literally TOO SCARED to sneak out at night because I knew I would see the consequences of my actions. These kids obviously knew that if they got caught, it would be fine, and if they really were sneaking out, that's why they didn't have a problem doing it. It all comes back to parental guidance. And how would the parents not hear the kids sneaking out? An old truck like that is bound to be loud when it's started....

^Jess, the kid that died was not the driver so I don't believe it was his truck.

I agree with everything else you said.

Young adults are far too often today allowed to do whatever as the parents try to be their "friend".

I have (had) a friend with a 17 year old son. Her & her husband had that attitude that "hey as long as he parties at home I know where he is" They literally allow their teenage son to have parties at home with drinking. I had gone over one night to find about 20 kids ranging in age from 14-18 absolutely wasted..because at that age you have no idea what responsible is...they were drinking 151. I asked if the kids were all staying the night and she said "Hell no". Her and I had words. The parents these days are so irresponsible themselves that its no wonder kids are dying. I have not since talked to her or her husband. Makes me sick to think they condone this type of behavior in their home. Now, for the past two weekends since taht incident I call the cops to go to her house..I don't know if he is having a party or not..I just wanted the presence of police officers coming.

This kid that died actually got off easy, he well could have been paralyzed, a quadripalegic, lost an arm or a leg, or had horrible scarring.

Amy, there are far too many parents like that these days who feel a need to be cool.

You know whats cool, being a parent and raising good kids.

I have seen the pics of porche girl..Really makes ya think. However I think you can show kids the most gruesome pictures and this type of incident will happen again..It starts in the home with good parenting and instilling good values into your children...If you don't give a crap, they don't give a crap!
